Ogun State Government through the Ogun State Emergency Management Agency (OGSEMA) has compensated victims, whose houses and fish farms were ravaged in the rainstorm that occurred early this year in Odogbolu, Odogbolu Local Government Area of the State.

Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Hon (Mrs.) Oluwafunmilayo Efuwape, while delivering cash to the victims at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta assured them that Governor Dapo Abiodun-led administration would leave no stone unturned in   discharging his duties to the citizenry.

Represented by the Director, Ogun State Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Olawale Shonde, said the compensation by the government was meant to assist them to mitigate their losses, charging them to always carry out necessary maintenance of their houses, while advising them to plant trees in streets and houses to reduce the pressure usually mounted by windstorms before destroying structures, houses and others.

The Commissioner noted that the Federal Government was also aware of the havoc, assuring the victims that it would extend gestures to them through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) soon.

Contributing, Member representing Odogbolu State Constituency who also doubled as Minority Leader at the State House of Assembly, Hon Lukman Olaleye, appreciated Governor Dapo Abiodun for always providing solutions to issues across the State, advising the victims to make judicious use of the money given to them and be environmental conscious.

In their separate remarks, Messers Temitope Ali and Temitope Bakare appreciated the government for attending to their needs pledging more of their support and loyalty to the government.
